6. See an orca in the wild.
Finally! It's been what seems like a couple years since my last BC Ferries orca sighting, and everyone I know keeps seeing them on every trip they take - but no orcas for me! Until last weekend, that is. Heading over to visit family on Saturday, August 14th, 2010, Holly and Sophie and I saw a handful of orcas swim past just outside Swartz Bay. And I even got a picture as proof!

Hey, you caught enough of the whale's saddlepatch that we might be able to ID it! Congrats on seeing your whales - finally!
