59. Make an awesome mixed-tape-style CD.

I've been meaning to do this for a while, and Kristi's 30th birthday finally gave me a good reason - good enough to make not one, but two mixed-tape-style CDs for her!

The first one was purely a mix of music I'm currently enjoying, music I think is catchy, and music with hilarious retro appeal. It's a bit scattershot, but I still consider it awesome.

  1. I Gotta Feeling - The Black Eyed Peas
  2. Go - Def Leppard
  3. iGeneration - MC Lars
  4. Blue Moon - The Ventures
  5. Top Of The World - Van Halen
  6. Last Train To Trancentral (Live From The Lost Continent) - The KLF
  7. Atlanta - Stone Temple Pilots
  8. Broken Record - Sweatshop Union
  9. Johnny Saucep'n - Moxy Früvous
  10. Sick Day - Optimus Rhyme
  11. 1979 - The Smashing Pumpkins
  12. Never Give Up - MC Chris
  13. The Canadian Snacktime Trilogy - i) Snacktime - Barenaked Ladies
The second one has a funny story behind it, which I'll let Kristi tell, but it's entitled "The Best of Feat". Definitely awesome.

  1. Wavin' Flag (Spanish Celebration Mix) - K'naan feat. David Bisbal
  2. California Gurls - Katy Perry feat. Snoop Dog
  3. Nerdcore Rising - MC Frontalot feat. Jesse Dangerously and MC Hawking
  4. Breathe - Swollen Members feat. Nelly Furtado
  5. Take Me Up (Alrabaiye) (Extended Version) - Amadin feat. Swing
  6. 4 Minutes - Madonna feat. Justin Timberlake & Timbaland
  7. The Ballad Of Peter Pumpkinhead - Crash Test Dummies feat. Ellen Reid
  8. Rich Girl - Gwen Stefani feat. Eve
  9. Prince Ali - Alan Menken feat. Robin Williams
  10. Dangerous - Kardinal Offishall feat. Akon
  11. I've Been Down - Sweatshop Union feat. Mad Child
  12. Jai Ho! (You Are My Destiny) - A.R. Rahman & The Pussycat Dolls feat. Nicole Scherzinger
And there we have it. That's right, be stunned by my astounding musical expertise. Disney and Katy Perry, nerdcore rap and The Ventures... together at last.

Oh, and I either already owned or newly bought (stupid iTunes, stupid Apple) all the songs on both CDs. No artists were harmed in the making of these mixes.

And hey! This marks the downward slope for my 101 Things List. 51 done, only 50 to go! Good thing, too, seeing as I only have just under a year left...

I admire your dedication to making finely crafted mix CDs complete with cover graphics. I hope Kristi shares the feat. story!
