69. Finish digitizing CD collection and get rid of a lot of it.

25 GB later, I'm done. To digitize our CDs, I eventually settled on foobar2000 for ripping them, a custom Python script (written in Wing IDE) for figuring out what I had on disk and shoving it into a MySQL database, and a custom music-playing software called Jukebox (written using C++/Qt in Qt Creator) combined with VLC for playing it all. I'm listening to The Best of CCR at the moment.



After digitizing it all, I was happy to get rid of many of the physical copies - we donated them to a thrift store. Not everything left, though - we still have maybe 120 of them, including such gems as the Cocktail soundtrack and the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles soundtrack. Just the necessities, really.
