The end of 1001 days

A few years ago, I decided to try a fad that was sweeping one or two people I knew, which was to make a list of 101 things that you want to accomplish within 1001 days. Here's my list. A few days ago, my 1001 days ran out, so here's the final tally. I'll group them as I grouped them in the list, with percentages and the corresponding letter grades, like a report card. From worst to best:

Creative: 18.2% (F)
Work: 25% (F)
Social/Volunteer: 42.9% (F)
Computers: 50% (C-)
Travel: 50% (C-)
Entertainment: 61.1% (C)
Home: 75% (B)
Health/Exercise: 78.6% (B)
Self: 80% (B)
Family: 85.7% (B, nearly an A)

Grand total: 60/101 = 59.4% (C-, nearly a C)

Sounds about right. Heavier emphasis on family, health, and home, and no time for creative pursuits or optional work stuff, but still a little bit of time for movies and reading.

Overall, I'm pretty happy with the way this turned out. I really enjoyed making this list, and having it as a guide/reminder for things I wanted to do. I'm satisfied with my completion percentage, because this was real life, and things happen that keep you from your plans and goals. The best-laid schemes, and all that. (In video games, however, I'm definitely a completionist, and am not satisfied with only figuring out half of a game.)

I think I'm going to do this 101 Things in 1001 Days exercise again, and I will carry over some (but probably not all) of the leftover items onto my new list.

Well done. Mine ran out in May and I managed 44/101 (although I did a couple of things after May as well).

It's been quite the adventure! I agree that adding Ellie to our family was awesome. I'm very impressed with how far you got on your list!

Congrats on getting so many done! My 1001 days expire next month and I don't think I did nearly as many as you, but I will also start a new one. It's so fun!
