A few weeks ago (August 21st), we took Sophie to her first full-length movie. This wasn't just any theatre movie, either, this was an outdoor movie, watched under the stars in Connaught Park! It was a great community event, with free popcorn, and a movie screen about the size of our apartment. (And it didn't look that big...) They were showing "Up", which word on the street has pegged as one of Pixar's best in years (which is really saying something). I thought it was really good - maybe not as great as the buzz made it out to be, but solid. Sophie enjoyed the dogs and the bird and the house floating away. She didn't squirm too much, although her attention did wander a bit from time to time. Overall, she did great, and it was a pretty idyllic first movie experience - at least from the parents' point of view!

45. Take Sophie to a movie.

It was a great way to introduce our little one to a full length movie! She sure loved the popcorn!
